Sarah Wegwerth, PhD, Content Specialist: Sarah earned her PhD in organic chemistry from Professor Douglas’ research group at the University of Minnesota. For her dissertation, she worked towards the first total synthesis of cyclacene. However, Sarah also had a passion for education and spent a great deal of time teaching (including an organic chemistry lecture) and training TAs. Sarah joined Alchemie as a content specialist, primarily for Mechanisms, in 2018. In addition to writing puzzles, she helps research how to make the app a more powerful learning tool for students and finding ways to aid instructors with implementation.
